We are dedicated to excellence in education, patient care, research, and service. Our mission is to advance the art, science, and clinical practice of prosthodontics—including fixed and removable prosthodontics and the restoration of dental implants—through innovative teaching, evidence-based care, and interdisciplinary collaboration. We are committed to developing compassionate and skilled professionals who restore oral health, function, and aesthetics, thereby enhancing the quality of life for the patients we serve.

Graduate Prosthodontics

VCU School of Dentistry offers a 36-month advanced graduate prosthodontics residency program structured for a comprehensive course of study in clinical and didactic prosthodontics. Students completing the program earn a certificate in Prosthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry degree.

Digital Dentistry

Digital dentistry plays a vital role at VCU School of Dentistry by enhancing education, research, and patient care through advanced technologies such as 3D imaging, CAD/CAM systems, and digital workflows. Digital dentistry at VCU allows students to receive one-on-one training using state-of-the-art equipment with world-renowned faculty, assistants and laboratory technicians.

Virginia Implant Excellence Week (VIEW)

It’s that time of year again. Virginia Implant Excellence Week (VIEW) is back November 3-7. The week of continuing education events seeks to educate, engage and share knowledge of dental implants to oral health professionals. A series of lunch and learn lectures during the week culminates in a symposium at the Westin Richmond Hotel on Friday, Nov. 7. Attendees will have the opportunity to earn up to seven continuing education credits. It’s never too early to get your seat, registration is now open.
